Live music, dancing, local/organic/eco food, hands on crafts, live art, booths and booths and more booths.  This is the premier art/music event in Matsuyama.  Advanced tix are only ¥1500, please contact us if you need a ticket (our friends need to sell some to pay for their booth-they are selling Kombucha!)

Director Anno Hideaki: Special Effects Film Exhibition   Apr.3-June 23  Ehime Prefectural Art Museum 9:40-18:00

With the development of digital technology, special effect films have been forced to substitute detailed models with computer graphics. Miniatures and elaborate movie props have virtually disappeared from recent films. This exhibition features 100 such items and conveys the creators’ technique, devotion and passion.

Setouchi Art Festival, Spring exhibition, March 20th – April 21st  Various islands in the inland sea, ¥3500, or ¥5000 for the 3 season pass

The Setouchi Triennale is a contemporary art festival that takes place on multiple islands of the Seto Inland Sea. It was first held in 2010 and it attracted a huge response from hundreds of thousands of visitors.  Modern, conceptual, painting, sculptures from artists around Japan, Asia and the World.
